Mia's story
Sophia created Mia after experiencing something so many parents know well: when her daughters Lily and Rose were born, they were showered with love, support, and a mountain of gifts – but while she felt deeply grateful, she also saw how quickly many of those presents were outgrown, unused, or added to the overwhelm of early parenthood.
That idea became Mia – a simple, stress-free way for parents, family, and friends to contribute towards a child’s Junior ISA, turning everyday gifting into a meaningful legacy.
Mia was born from one mum’s experience, but it’s being built by a team united by the same mission: helping families build brighter futures.

Sophia Jarvis
Co-Founder & CEO
Sophia is the driving force behind Mia Wealth, building a new way for families to invest in children's futures. Before founding Mia, she spent over a decade in wealth management working with high-net-worth families at Schroders and St. James's Place — where she saw first-hand how traditional investing so often overlooks the next generation.
Her experience spans investment research, client advisory and global business development, giving her a deep understanding of both the financial system and the families it serves. At Mia Wealth, Sophia is on a mission to transform how we think about gifting and investing — turning everyday moments into long-term financial outcomes for children.
Co-Founder & Chief Product & Operations Officer
Gerry brings a rare blend of clarity, practicality and warmth to everything she does. As Chief Product & Operations Officer at Mia, she draws on a career spanning product, operations and large-scale transformation. From scaling AI SaaS businesses to leading product development at Three, she's worked at the heart of leadership teams throughout.
Always partnering closely with founders and CEOs, Gerry turns ambitious ideas into something real and workable. Known for cutting through complexity, she has one of the most practical minds you’ll ever come across — and outside of work, she’s a proud mum to two daughters, two much-loved rescue dogs, and a lover of hiking, snowboarding and garden pottering.
